    The UXM-30LN-PW scanning laser rangefinder is used for non-contact distance measurement, obstacle detection and area monitoring applications. This industrial-type model offers real-time detection in a 190º field of view up to a distance of 30 meters. With a USB interface, the device can be easily programmed to set three area detection output zones. The unit can be configured with an ON/OFF delay where it will ignore objects that move abruptly through the zones (for example in outdoor use: leaves blowing, heavy dust or debris) thus preventing a false output. Sensitivity adjustments can be made via the software to create a close-range dead zone that helps filter out rain, snow or other elements that are in close proximity to the lens.
